Propagation

Azaleas and Rhododendrons can be propagated either by germinating seed or rooting cuttings. Some, particularly large leaf Rhododendrons and deciduous azaleas, can be a little difficult to root from cuttings. However, many will root with experience and a little extra effort. Frequently root cuttings or layering can be used to obtain copies of Rhododendrons and Azaleas that are difficult to root from plain stem cuttings.
